Have you ever wondered what the car of the future will look like? Will motor vehicle manufacturers turn from producing petrol and diesel cars towards developing environmentally-friendly vehicles, including a green car that is fun to drive? Would you support a car manufacturer and an extended warranty broker such as Warranty and Insurance who are determined to look after the environment, especially to safeguard the future for our generations of children to come?

What is an environmentally-friendly car?

Before we look at Toyota’s new green car, let’s have a look at what an environmentally-friendly vehicle is. In a nutshell, an eco-friendly vehicle is a car that does not release toxic gasses, or releases less harmful gasses in the form of carbon emissions into the environment. As a result, the greenhouse effect and the consequences of global warming will not be as strong, and they will have less of an impact on our planet.

Toyota and their eco-friendly, fun-loving car

Toyota unveiled their new i-TRIL Concept electric car at the 2017 Geneva motor show, proving to the motoring aficionado that it is possible to build a viable alternative to modern city vehicles. According to the Toyota Australia website, the company’s “newest vision for the future is a small, agile vehicle designed for urban dwellers who travel extensively – often in stop-start traffic – to shop, visit restaurants, socialise and take children to school.”

While we wait for this concept car to go into production, I believe that the innovative development of the new i-TRIL Concept electric car is a good reason to get behind the Toyota brand. The good news is that there are many different models (both new and used) that are available for you to choose from.

Deciding which Toyota to purchase

There are a couple of veryimportant decisions that you have to make before you can drive home with your new or new-to-you motor vehicle:

Vehicle category or usage
There are different types of cars which are suitable for different terrains or environments such as an economy car, an SUV or crossover SUV, a large or small family car, a luxury vehicle, and a Multipurpose vehicle. In other words, what trips do you envisage making? Do you plan on traveling through harsh desert terrain, driving to work and back, or perhaps taking your extended family on holiday with you?

Cost: new or used vehicle

What can you comfortably afford to pay for a motor vehicle? This prices needs to include the cost of comprehensive insurance as well as the price of a Toyota extended warranty at Warranty and Insurance. It does not help over budgeting for a car as you might end up losing the vehicle due to the non-payment of the monthly premiums.

Final words

There is no doubt that the motoring public is ready for a change in the way cars are powered. There are many compelling reasons why auto manufacturers should move towards producing a more economical and environmentally-friendly vehicle. After all, petrol and diesel engines have been around since the 1930s. I think its time for a change. Don’t you?
